Once I was trying not to cry in chapter four, I really had no choice but to give this five stars. It's so interesting to see everything Rosalie was dealing with that never showed in Michael's story. I like that.

By chapter 7, so much has already happened; where is this story possibly going?

And then Chapter 8 was an OMG. Didn't see that coming. How are we coming back from this?

Chapter 9: it all goes to hell. The therapist said she was about to crack, but I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. This feels like the climax of the story, and we're not even halfway.

I love how much Michael LOVES his sister. He has a wife now, but that didn't change how much he loved his sister.

Also, this story has my acceptable age gap of ten years. This is the kind of angst I've been needing in my life. I freaking love this book!

ABOUT THE SPOTLIGHT

I chose Wait for Him for this month's spotlight because I had been waiting to read it from the moment I finished the first book. I was so excited that I stayed up until six in the morning on release day—and thankfully, it was worth the lost sleep.

Rose and Jackson pulled me in because their connection feels real and lived-in, like something that had been quietly building long before their story officially began.

I loved Rose’s strength, sarcasm, and vulnerability, and I loved that Jackson wanted more than a physical relationship with her—he wanted her trust, her family, and a real future together. Between their emotional journey, the slow-burning tension, the humor, and the wonderfully messy found family, this book gave me everything I look for in a romance. I finished it genuinely attached to the characters, which made choosing it for this spotlight an easy decision.
